This four-part video series covers the topics outlined in the National Science Education Standards, AAAS Benchmarks for Science Literacy and major texts. The Biosphere explores the major features of earth’s amazing biosphere, including biotic and abiotic components found in an ecosystem. In the Ecosystem Dynamics program students are introduced to the study of ecology. Natural Cycles addresses many of the cycles conducted by animals including migration, hibernation, and patterns relating to day and night. In the People and the Environment program students learn about resource conservation, and renewable and non-renewable resources.

Each interactive video is followed by a 10-question Video Quiz and is accompanied by a teacher-friendly guide containing numerous student activities and assessment tools. Extra features on the DVD include indexes, labeled slides, glossary, animations, English subtitles, and an iMovie project.
