This four-part series covers the topics outlined in the National Science Education Standards, AAAS Benchmarks for Science Literacy and major texts. The Nature of Electricity video explores the fundamental principles of electricity, including the role that atoms play in creating electrical charges. In Current Electricity students will learn how electrical current is generated, how electricity flows into their homes, and how we use current electricity. In the Magnetism program students will learn about the force of magnetism and how it affects our everyday lives. Electromagnetism describes the important relationship between electricity and magnetism, and portrays real life applications of these forces.
Each video is followed by a 10-question Video Quiz and is accompanied by a teacher-friendly guide containing numerous student activities and assessment tools. Extra features on the DVD include indexes, labeled slides, glossary, animations, English subtitles, and an iMovie project.
