This four-part video series covers the topics outlined in the National Science Education Standards, AAAS Benchmarks for Science Literacy and major texts. In A Journey Through Geologic Time students will learn about the formation of Earth by examining the four major geologic eras of history. The Earth’s Changing Surface video highlights the fascinating ways the Earth has changed over time and how past geologic events relate to the Earth we see today. The Fossils program includes detailed descriptions of the different ways in which fossils are formed and their use in science and geology. The Geology of North America program explores the different geologic features of the land as well as the forces that create them.

Each interactive video is followed by a 10-question Video Quiz and is accompanied by a teacher-friendly guide containing numerous student activities and assessment tools. Extra features on the DVD include indexes, labeled slides, glossary, animations, English subtitles, and an iMovie project.
