This four-part video series covers the topics outlined in the National Science Education Standards, AAAS Benchmarks for Science Literacy and major texts. Topography of the Earth describes the major topographic features of Earth including mountains, plains, and plateaus. The Mapping video highlights the major types of world maps, as well as topographic, road and city maps. In the Freshwater program explores the importance and characteristics of freshwater, as well as its physical and chemical properties. Oceanography explores geography of different oceans, as well as the physical and chemical characteristics of oceans.
Each interactive video is followed by a 10-question Video Quiz and is accompanied by a teacher-friendly guide containing numerous student activities and assessment tools. Extra features on the DVD include indexes, labeled slides, glossary, animations, English subtitles, and an iMovie project.
